Gym, Fitness & ActivitiesThere are many activities to do and clubs that you can join in Karlskrona. This is a great way to ensure that you maintain a bit of a work/life balance and also to meet other people in Karlskrona, and joining a club or participating in an activity is the best way to get to know Swedish people.
These are just some clubs and activities that previous MSLS students have enjoyed….

The school doesn't have a gym with equipment, although it does have a gymnasium where innebandy (ball hockey), badminton, and football are played. This is FREE of charge on weeknights, but you have to bring your own equipment. http://kids.bthstudent.se/. Check availability, because it's been known to be booked. There are quite a lot of gyms in town. Prices below are from previous years, so please check as they can be outdated. The 2023 class could not manage a 10 month or group deal this year, but it has been done in the past, so it doesn't hurt trying. Fares are cheaper if you agree to a one-year deal, but you might have to pay the entire year at once via credit card if you don't have a swedish bank account. The Wellness Studio Landbrogatan 9 If you sign up for a student membership you can pay the 299 SEK fee monthly. Nordic Wellness Blekingegatan 11 This used to be a local gym (Lok&Motion), which in the past partnered with MSLS students for a strategic sustainability plan, and for group discounts. But it has been recently converted into a chapter of the chain gyms Nordic Wellness. It is close to BTH, and has good equipment and a variety of classes. Friskishuset “Friskis&Svettis“ Blåportsgatan 15 A lot of MSLS 2023 students went there as it is the closest gym to MSLS, and one of the cheapest in town. It has good equipment and classes (including circuit, boxing, yoga, bike), and a sauna. Other gym options are: Simmhall and Varmbadhuset Norra Kungsgatan 32 Weight training equipment, and a lovely sauna, steam bath, and pool area for cold winter days. There is a reduced price for students, SEK 30 only. Grand Squash Ronnebygatan 19 These squash courts in Trossö offer cheap memberships, with an initial membership fee of 150SEK and then 20SEK - 50SEK per court booking depending on the court time. Climbing Located in the gymnasium behind the C-building on Campus. This is a great little bouldering wall where you can make good friends from inside and outside of MSLS. Many local Swedes use the wall, too. They are usually open Tuesday 6pm-9pm, Thursday 6pm-9pm and Sunday 4pm-7pm. Cost is 80SEK and 20SEK to rent shoes. They have also a semester pass for 750SEK and a years card for 800SEK. They arrange a number of outings to bouldering sites around Southern Sweden (in the fall and spring), and they are a great source on top-rope climbing, too. http://www.karlskronabergsport.se/ …..And other interesting things to do and places to visit….
